One day, during the burial ceremony of the mother of our founder, organisers of the occassion suddenly ran out of water supply and to get water to the venue, someone would have to walk up to 1 kilometer of road or more just to fetch a bucket of water.
The excruciating pain people have to undergo for various decades of doing this same things which our founder grew up with made him to vow that that this kind of suffering cannot continue.
Water which is the essence of life cannot become such a burden to people in his community. With that thought in mind he was able to pull financial resources together to embark on drilling pipe borne water running into millions of Naira into his own community.
The first day water ran out of a tap in the community, people in his community were so excited that they began to praise God for raising a son with such a large heart for humanity. This kind of excitement made Mr. Festus Uzoma Mbisiogu to vow that if people can be this happy only because they saw water running out of a tap, he is going to do more for other community. In the early formative years, Uzotex Foundation has sanked close to 15 Bore Holes running millions of Naira. These projects the foundation has done single-handedly without any foreign support However, the foundation is using this medium to encourage Imo State indigens and Nigerians in the Diaspora to joins hands and support various projects the foundation has put in place to make our community a better place for all to live and thrive.
